Demo Wrok Today and Sams Club

Today I worked at Winn Dixie in which I did a demo, that is a person who gives out those delicious samples. I gave out samples in cups of Sobe Life Water. It was a very good demo and I liked the manager in being very helpful in getting my demo table set up and looking for the demo kit, which was not there but by the blessing of the Lord, I was able to pay for the water and cups and napkins.Some people liked the water and some people said that it did not have that much of a taste. I am okay with negative comments because that is the person and his or her choice of what he or she likes.

Then after work I went to Sam's Club. They have a whole lot of stuff that you want to buy but it is just impossible because there is so much good food that a person wants to see and try. I I did buy a few interesting things though. I am really hungry I want to to watch this interesting movie on Lifetime cable channel about this lady who was her baby stolen by one of the home nurses. That home nurse looked kind of strange.

Posting a day after Christmas

I am posting on Wednesday, December 26, at 11:30 pm. Today I went to the clinic for an appointment with the dentist. I didn't go to one of the fancy dentist offices with the nice waiting room. Just an dental clinic for poor people. Just like J.J and his family went to on Good Times ha ha, except this clinic that I went to was not free but it was cheap. I arrived there at 12:00pm waited until my appointment time at 12:30,.Then filled out paperwork because I have not been there since 2004. Once I filled out the paper work and waited and then had my teeth ex-rayed then waited some more for 20 to 30 more minutes until the dental assistant called me. The dentist put a filling in my top tooth and he put medicine in the bottom. Why he couldn't put the filling int he bottom one, I guess if he had done that, I would had to pay extra about $69 to $70 . I only paid $35 for my visit but it turned out my dental fee was $26. Oh goodie I am looking forward to Monday for the other dental visit to put the filling in at the bottom. My fee for Monday is $39 dollars. My tooth feels kind of better since he put that filling in at the top. I have no pictures to post of my knitting, I am still working on it. I've got to go and work on my webpage for another website.

2 Hours Before Christmas Eve

I am typing in my blog on December 23,2007 at 10:18pm central time. What is on my mind right now, not that much of what I can think about to type in this blog at this moment. Oh yeah I've been for some strange reason having dreams about this guy at my church over and over this guy is Brandon my buddy. I pray to the Lord what these dreams mean and I don't get an answer. Lord what are you trying to tell me? The first time I started having dreams about Brandon was when he went into Coast Guard Basic Training two years ago. Maybe I need to pray a little bit more harder on what these dreams mean, the thing is I am afraid a little bit that the Lord will reveal to me what I might not like or might not like to hear then again I should not have fear but to pray with boldness. He is always staring at me for some strange reason. I am not sure about his father because he is sick a lot but I like his momma. she is pretty cool. Well enough about that, I finished the first fur scarf that goes to fur scarf attached to a fur hat It's about 29 inches. I am planning on going to AC and Moore tomorrow, Lord willing to buy 2 balls of this colored fur, so I can knit the other scarf. It may take me another week or two to finish the other scarf. I think I will look for me something to eat.

Friday Dec 12,2007

Yesterday I did not go that many places except for the DollarTree that is right around the corner from where I live. I bought spray cleaner to help clean up. After I cleaned up and eat some shrimp,toast and soup a few hours later, I then worked on my fur scarf that will be attached to a fur hat. I believe it will be longer than 25 inches maybe 35 to 40 oh my goodness this project is going to take a while I definitely need patience. I made a similar scarf attached to a hat beforeThis was done last year, I still was kind of new to loom knitting. Anyway I watched something on 2020 that seemed very interesting. It was about a woman who was run over by a car by accident. Her mother accidentally bagged into her from behind the car. When I heard about all that she is going thru, she has to take a lot of medications to this day, I think about my accident from 2004. The guy hit me with his car and left the scene of the accident. As a result of the hit and run accident, I have a rod in my lower left leg. I thank God that it was not worse that I am not dealing with pain nor have to be on a lot of medicine nor paralyzed. I realized that I am blessed ,I know that I am blessed. I guess that's my testimony.

Nice Partly Cloudy Wednesday

I did not go that many places today except downtown and Wednesday night bible study. When I left home at 3:00 to catch the city bus, I bought a grape slushy from Sonic Drive Inn. I bought it during their Happy Hour which is from 2 to 4pm every day. I think I like the Lemon Berry better. The Lemon Berry has lots of cut up strawberries in it. Anyway once the bus arrived at the transfer center and I had 20 to 30 minutes to kill time until my next bus arrived, I decided to take some pictures of Montgomery, not that much except the Alabama River and the Union Station

This is the Alabama River and this is where the train runs on this track. This is Union Station right across from the Montgomery Area Transfer Center. And these are the buses that I ride every week. I am still working on my Opera Wrap and my fur scarf attached to my fur hat. One of the scarves are just long enough to use as a scarf. I think it will get to the height I want it by the end of this week .It's about 19 inches, I want it to at least 25 inches.

A Very Blessed Sunday

This have been a very good Lord's Sunday. I really don't have anything planned for next week except to attend a Christmas Party Wednesday. Am I ready for Christmas ,I guess so, it doesn't matter to me, I have gotten what I wanted already. I would like to get my Mom something.she likes clothes. I am kind of sleepy from the Eggnog that I drunk earlier.

My new Serenity Loom

Yesterday I bought a Serenity Loom from HobbyLobby. Doesn't it look pretty. I got it for a good deal for $29.99

I just started looming on it a Opera Wrap. The the one thing that I have to get used to is it takes a good while before finishing something because the loom is so BIG. Lord please give me patience using this loom.

Tuesday December 11,2007

I started the fur scarf attached to a fur hat Sunday. I have gotten to the first scarf. Not long enough because I just started on it. It is going to take a while in finishing the whole project plus buying a lot of black and white fun fur yarn about 7 to 8 balls.

I saw Ray on the public transit bus yesterday while on my way to the unemployment office. Darlene was not with him. It is the funniest thing we both had on the same kind of camouflage pants but his is red and mine is green . Ha Ha. I talked to him for a bit before I got off the bus at the unemployment office. I have not seen Lorenzo, my other male friend in a while. I,ve known Lorenzo since high school. He went to high school with my cousin. One of his cousins used to be married to Ray's sister.,whoever his cousin is. Anyway besides seeing Ray, my Monday night at home was boring. nothing was on TVLand except Designing Women. I am not too crazy about that show. Monday is usually my night to help out with the Inner City Children of the Inner City Church of Christ. I did not go because it was too cold. I said to my Mom I think I will wait till it warms up before going out and helping with the kids in the housing projects. I think I have a few pictures of the InnerCityKids including Rachel that helps out with the kids on Monday and Tuesday nights.

Back to the Blog Board

I haven't blogged for a few days because I was sick with a stuffy nose and coughing,mostly stuffy nose. I am getting better. I still take my ZiaCam for stuffiness once in while. I started using Mucinex, you know the commercial with the congestant booger looking dude. Ha Ha! . That worked somewhat but I was still getting a runny nose, so I decided to buy a box of ZiaCam and that worked better. I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow. Maybe I will go ,maybe I will not go that all depends on if this cold will be totally over with by 2:30 PM tomorrow Monday afternoon . Anyway besides dealing with the cold, I finally finished other slipper sock and now I have a pair.

What is my next knitter, a fur scarf attached to a fur hat.Ooh. Stay tuned for the end results.

Day of Shopping

I don't have any pictures to post of my knitting, I am still working on the other slipper sock. I have gotten to the brim part. Hopefully I will be finished with it my the end of this week. I saw Ray and Darlene, the interracial couple I know quite well that lives in Montgomery. I have a picture of him but not her,why did I take a picture of him, I don't know. One day I am going to take a picture of both of them together. It's kind of funny when I see the two of them together. Am I jealous,no way what do I have to jealous about. They were at the Intermodial bus transfer center transferring to another bus. When I saw them I figured out that is the couple whom the Lord put together because they are alike in certain ways.. I am praying and asking the Lord, is there the right mate out there for me? I keep asking him and I get no answer. I have prayed to the Lord in the past to send me somebody special and I have met guys who were nice enough to get know further but it was and is not now I guess the right time for me to have a mate because of me starting back to college. But to be honest, as being a human being I really don't know if this is the right time now or when I finish college. Only the Lord knows really when it is the right time.

I talked to my male buddy Brandon in church before Sunday School started. He didn't say that much. Maybe he is thinking about his dad. his dad is really sick. I am glad he broke up with his girlfriend. I knew somehow that relationship would not last. Anyway besides staying at home the rest of the evening and took a walk to the store with my mom that is only around the corner about 9:30 PM, I finished the first foot of the slipper sock.


Continuing with the instructions from last night:Heel part: 1.Wrap pegs 1-4 and knit off.
2.Wrap pegs 13-2(counterclockwise and knit off.
3.Wrap pegs 3-12(clockwise) and knit over.
4.Wrap pegs 11-4(counterclockwise) and knit over.
5.Wrap pegs 5-10(counterclockwise) and knit over.
6.Wrap pegs 9-6(counterclockwise) and knit over.
7.Wrap pegs 7-8(clockwise) and knit over
8.Wrap pegs 8-7(counterclockwise) and knit over
9.Wrap pegs 6-9 and knit over
10.Wrap pegs 10-5 and knit over
11.Wrap pegs 4-11 and knit over
12. Wrap pegs 12-3 and knit over
13.Wrap pegs 2-13 and knit over

This is where the heel ends

After knitting the heel, Wrap all the way around the loom in a clockwise manner. Knit about 35 rows or at least enough rows by your shoe size. I knitted less than 35 rows because I wear a size 7.or you may need to knit more than 35 rows, I don't know that is up to you and your shoe size.

I used the Gathering method in removing the slipper sock from the loom.

I am going to knit the other slipper sock and post it up sometime this week and then I will have a matching pair.

Saturday December 1,2007

My Saturday started off with catching the MATS Public Transit in paying my storage bill. I had the PhilyThickburger at Hardee's. It was very tasty,but messy. Anyway after finishing my thickburger,I had time before the next bus came, to work on my zebra striped slipper sock made from RedHeart SuperSaver yarn.

This is the brim of the slipper sock, knitted as a single stitch. Instead of using 1 yarn, I am using 2 yarns. I think this makes the pattern thicker.I knitted 6 rows then turned for a brim.



This is part of the ankle,I guess. Knit 30 rows. I stopped at 20, will continue it tomorrow

I am tired. Would like to eat my cinnamon roll,well actually it's my mom's, she did not want it anymore so she said that I could eat it. Looks really tasty. I will eat that watch cable then go to bed. Church is tomorrow,The Lord's Day.
