you need: 2 rolls of camoflauge yarn, use two strands of yarn held together for the camoflauge color, green knifty knitter loom, loom tool, tapestry needle

BRIM: Crochet chain one row then flat/u stitch three rows and then purl three rows, do not cut yarn.

FIRST EAR FLAP: count 6 pegs to the left of the holding peg, then using the camoflauge yarn *make a 3-peg I-cord (see below for instructions). then e-wrap and knit one row (3 stitches). increase one stitch at the beginning and end of the next 3 rows (see below for instructions), giving you 9 stitches. e-wrap and knit 5 rows even, then cut yarn leaving a 4" tail.*

SECOND EAR FLAP: count 9 pegs to the right of the holding peg, then repeat above between *'s.

BODY OF HAT: starting back at the beginning peg and using the camoflauge yarn, e-wrap one row, then knit. when you get to the ear flaps, knit 1 over 2 (one loop over two loops). e-wrap another row, knit, this time when you get to the ear flaps, knit 2 over 1 (ear flap loops will now be knit into the hat).
e-wrap using the 1 over 2 and 2 over 1 when getting to ear flaps.and knit until hat is desired length.mine was seven inches.just like when loomknitting a regular hat .

3 peg I-cord: wrap three pegs, then take the yarn back to the first peg SKIPPING THE SECOND PEG, rather than knitting back over it to get to the first peg. e-wrap the three pegs again. knit. repeat until cord is as long as needed.

increasing: wrap the empty peg next to the beginning or end of the row TWICE, and knit this additional stitch with the rest of the row.

Note:I should have knitted the I-cords on the small blue loom then attach to green loom, hat pattern.

Not so busy Thanksgiving break

I have been out since Monday for Thanksgiving break. Will go back to classes starting this comming Monday.Trenholm has two weeks left of Fall semester.(December 13).I am not looking forward to Spring semester because I have to take Intro Algebra.I don't want to take Intro Algebra but I have no other choice. Beside school,I finished a loomed project. It is called the Magic Scarf I like the scarf because it can be worn several ways besides wearing it as a plain scarf. I worked on the project for three weeks. I have in mind making another one. UCLA gerontologist Dr. Stephen Coles said Parker's great-nephew notified him that Parker died Wednesday at a nursing home in Shelbyville. She was 115 years, 220 days old, said Robert Young, a senior consultant for gerontology for Guinness World Records. Parker was born April 20, 1893, in central Indiana's Morgan County and had been recognized by Guinness World Records as the world's oldest person since the 2007 death in Japan of Yone Minagawa, who was four months her senior. Coles maintains a list of the world's oldest people and said Parker was the 14th oldest validated supercentenarian in history. Maria de Jesus of Portugal, who was born Sept. 10, 1893, is now the world's oldest living person, according to the Gerontology Research Group. Parker had been a widow since her husband, Earl Parker, died in 1939 of a heart attack. She lived alone in their farmhouse until age 100, when she moved into a son's home and later to the Shelbyville nursing home. Although she never drank alcohol or tried tobacco and led an active life, Parker didn't offer tips for living a long life. Her only advice to those who gathered to celebrate when she became the oldest person was "more education." Parker outlived her two sons, Clifford and Earl Jr. She also had five grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great-grandchildren. Don Parker, 60, said his grandmother had a small frame and a mild temperament. She walked a lot and kept busy even after moving into the nursing home, he said. "She kept active," he said Thursday. "We used to go up there, and she would be pushing other patients in their wheelchairs." Gov. Mitch Daniels celebrated with Parker on her 114th birthday. "It was a delight to know Edna, who must have been a remarkable lady at any age," Daniels said. Parker taught in a two-room school in Shelby County for several years after graduating from Franklin College in 1911. She wed her childhood sweetheart and neighbor in 1913. But as was the tradition of that era, her teaching career ended with her marriage. Parker traded the schoolhouse for life as a farmer's wife, preparing meals for as many as a dozen men who worked on her husband's farm. Parker noted with pride last year that she and her husband were one of the first owners of an automobile in their rural area. Coincidentally, Parker lived in the same nursing home as 7-foot-7 Sandy Allen, whom Guinness recognized as the world's tallest woman until her death in August.

needs to get a new filter where it won't be a hindrance on those students who don't even look at porn.Anyway besides that,I was able to do some loom knitting from the long blue loom.

Mr Allingham witnessed the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight at RAF Cranwell in Lincolnshire before the RAF's parachute display team drops in.Dignitaries at a VIP lunch included Air Vice Marshal Peter Dye and Vice Admiral Sir Adrian Johns (Second Sea Lord and commander-in-chief Naval Home Command).

Eight of Mr Allingham's grandchildren and great grandchildren and their partners have flown from their homes in the United States for the occasion.Later, 40 pupils from Cranwell Primary School presented him with a birthday cake on what is the 90th anniversary year of the RAF.His birthday marks another landmark for a man who is the last founder member of the RAF and whose life has spanned three centuries and six monarchs. Before setting off to Lincolnshire from St Dunstan's care home for blind ex-service personnel in Ovingdean, near Brighton, East Sussex, he spoke about reaching such a grand age. Mr Allingham said: "I feel on the crest of a wave. What man wouldn't with all the good souls I have looking after me here. "I'm a lucky guy. I am looking forward to a wonderful day and to seeing the family. I just hope I don't let the side down. People ask me how I've done it, and I just say that I look forward to another tomorrow." His close friend and chaperone Dennis Goodwin, also founder of the First World War Veterans' Association, feted Mr Allingham's strength and character. Mr Goodwin said: "He is simply an incredible man. Each year we think that maybe this will be his last but he just seems to carry on regardless. "He is an example to us all. He keeps up with all the events and functions that he is invited to. "Last year we counted that he had clocked up 47 events which is quite something for a man his age. He knows what's going on around him and enjoys the company of people." Mr Allingham is just one of three known UK survivors from the First World War. The other two are ex-Royal Navy stoker Bill Stone, 107, who was born in Devon but now lives in Oxfordshire, and 109-year-old Harry Patch, who lives in Wells, Somerset, the last surviving Tommy to have served on the Western Front. Before he left St Dunstan's, Mr Allingham posed for pictures holding a collection of birthday cards and stole a number of kisses from staff wishing him a happy birthday. Patrick McBride, senior staff nurse at St Dunstan's, said: "He is amazing. He has got such a lovely personality and was singing away happily. "He loves it here and is so grateful for the care he receives. With his age, he does suffer from pain but he seems to take it all in his stride and gets on with life. "He calls me boy, everyone to Henry is either boy or girl. He is a pleasure to look after. Whereas a lot of people when they get elderly get quite low in mood, Henry is the opposite." The Government announced two years ago that the death of the last known First World War veteran would be marked by a national memorial service at Westminster Abbey. The decision was warmly welcomed by veterans and by MPs who have campaigned for a service to mark the final passing of the generation which fought in the 1914-18 conflict. It was said the service would reflect the events of November 11, 1920, when the unknown warrior was laid to rest and the Cenotaph unveiled in Whitehall. Mr Allingham, who has five grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren, joined the Royal Naval Air Service in September 1915 before transferring to the RAF in April 1918. As well as being the last founder member of the RAF, he is also the sole survivor of the Battle of Jutland. On what lessons he learnt from the First World War, Mr Allingham has said: "Hear all, see all and say nowt." He has been awarded a string of accolades including the British War Medal, Victory Medal and the Legion d'honneur, France's highest military honour. In April 2006 he was given the freedom of Eastbourne, the East Sussex seaside town where he retired in the 60s. These are the instructions that I used for the bottom part.

Bottom
Start by creating your weaving base. Take one strand of yarn & tie a loose knot at peg
1 then go to the peg straight across, come back to the peg next to your beginning peg
and so on. When you get back to peg 1, untie the knot and tie the yarn together.
This is the base for your weaving. The middle will pinch together.

Weaving
Thread a tapestry needle single or double and start weaving.
You must go under two strands and then over two strands. This should be done a few times & then
pull everything to the center.
When you get back to the starting peg start doing the opposite of what you did on
your first round.
Continue weaving around until the bottom is all filled in. Weave your ends in

I am going to use the Half Stitch method when getting ready to knit around the loom. That untamed hair. The enormous appetite. The hottest girl in the room isn’t who you think. Why pretty isn’t (always) sexy.
By Walter Kirn
They tend to go out on the town in pairs, I’ve noticed: the conventionally pretty one, all dolled up and shining, and her average-looking friend, who’s barely had time to do her hair. The pretty one, I have a hunch, is generally the instigator. With the plainer one by her side, she thinks she’ll look even more dazzling than usual. And the plainer one goes along with the idea because she wants to bask in her friend’s glow—or maybe because she just doesn’t get out much. I don’t know. I do know, however, that when I spot them and manage to push in beside them at the bar, I often feel sorry for the pretty one.

Because she’s about to learn she’s not the pretty one.“What are you girls drinking?”The pretty one answers for both of them in most cases. Hers is the dominant personality, and her heels are higher, too. The plainer one (the supposedly plainer one) isn’t wearing heels. They hurt her feet, and she’s not afraid to say so because she has no image to preserve. This makes her much easier to talk to. It also makes her more interesting to talk to—and, as the night wears on, to look at. By then, see, the bar is full of pretty women, and pretty women tend to look quite similar. They may not look similar before they dress and put on makeup, but afterward they do.“Where in Ohio?” I ask the plainer one, who doesn’t look half so plain now. I like her nose. I like the fact she has one. The pretty one had a nose at one time, but she hired a surgeon to cut most of it off.“Akron.”“I love that city,” I exaggerate. “It’s so…I don’t know…so…”“Depressing?”“Industrial.”That’s when the pretty one, who’s tired of standing around with nothing to do but check out her look-alikes and estimate her own rank in the evening’s pageant, wanders off to use the bathroom. I don’t really notice; I like her friend. Her friend has hands that are too big for her wrists, and when she gestures with them to make a point, I’m mesmerized by their power, their vitality. I’d like to hold them, to feel them on my back. I bet they’re warm—much warmer than the pretty one’s, which are small and slender but look icy

Could I have your phone number?” I ask.The woman who’s no longer plain at all says, “Sure.”I nod and hand over a pen. My crush starts writing. Her friend walks up and sees what’s happening. She stiffens. She narrows her eyes.It isn’t pretty.Stay informed with Elle’s weekly newsletter
In the fairy tale, Cinderella goes unnoticed until her appearance is magically transformed to match little girls’ ideal of loveliness, which they grow up believing is little boys’ ideal of loveliness. This belief is wrong, though. And I should know, because I’m a grown-up boy who longs for Cinderella’s who’ve never touched a pair of glass slippers—who are plenty alluring barefoot. I prefer them to some princesses I’ve danced with. I prefer them—these unconventional-looking women who too frequently call themselves ugly or imperfect when they ought to call themselves perfecting—because their transformations are still ongoing.Maura, the first barefoot Cinderella I fell for, was not a fussy eater, and it showed. It showed in her substantial hips. It also showed in her contented face.Radiant happiness was Maura’s best feature, the kind that comes from filling up on pasta and not leaping up afterward to go running. This distinguished her from the other girls I’d dated during my first two years at college. They were slimmer than Maura, their features more symmetrical, but their facial expressions were harder and more anxious, particularly at mealtimes. Salad without dressing will do that to you.“Can I scrunch in here with my tray?” I asked her in the dining hall one evening. She smiled and scooted over to make room. I’d been watching her. Her skin had the glossiness of a caramel apple. Her figure reminded me of an apple, too, but this was not a flaw because apples reminded me of pie, pie reminded me of ice cream, and pie and ice cream made me hungry for…Maura.I didn’t go hungry that fall semester, fortunately, but my appetite for Maura confused those who thought she wasn’t worth pursuing. A girl I’d once dated, the type who counted her croutons, asked me one day if I had “a thing for heavy women.” I told her no, I had a thing for women who enjoyed life. My old girlfriend seemed to find this threatening. She realized, I think, that it’s easier to keep off the weight than to keep on the happiness. The charm of a barefoot Cinderella is that her beauty obeys no formula and therefore can sneak up on a man. When he becomes aware of it, he feels like he’s discovered a secret. And secrets are always exciting.
Once worked in an office with a woman whom none of my colleagues seemed to know was there. Nor did I, at first. Her job was distributing memos and other documents, and she drew no attention to herself as she passed silently among the cubicles. A bulletin about changes in the health plan would suddenly show up on my desk, and I’d have no idea who’d brought it. The tooth fairy? The memo elf? Then one day, when the office was half-deserted due to an outbreak of the stomach flu, she caught my eye while walking toward me down an empty hallway. Straight hair, straight posture, straight in every way. Flat, too. And wearing glasses. Yet she was provocative as hell, like a stripper who was working under deep cover. She had a disciplined, stealthy sensuality that seemed to whisper to me as she slipped by: “What you see isn’t half of what you’ll get.”I set out to get it, whatever it was, confident I would face little competition. While hanging around the woman’s desk one morning, waiting for her to get back from her rounds, I spied another guy my age peeking at me over his computer. I detected jealousy. When the woman returned, I kept an eye on him as I asked her a stupid question about a memo concerning the corporate softball league or something. Then another guy showed up with a story about a malfunctioning copier. The woman excused herself and went off to help him.Click here to see Father’s Day ideas.“Get in line,” said the guy at the computer.
The movie was based on a novel I’d written, Thumbsucker, about my agonizing adolescence. The director invited me to suburban Oregon to spend a few days on the set. There, I met the woman playing my mother: the Oscar-winning British actress Tilda Swinton. She instructed me to call her Tilda and invited me to her trailer for a chat. She struck me at first as less than stunning. Her skin was pale, as though sun had never touched it; she was wearing a costume of homely nurse’s scrubs; and her short red hair was dyed a mousey brown. We sat across a small table drinking coffee and talking about our love lives (I was going through a divorce), and I couldn’t believe how comfortable I was. Tilda was a Hollywood leading lady—the first one I’d ever been alone with. I should have been too awestruck to lift my cup.But the awe didn’t take long to set in. Fifteen minutes into the conversation, Tilda’s unorthodox glamour overwhelmed me. Her pallor turned luminous. And because she lacked the curves and cleavage of the stereotypical female star, there was nothing to distract me from her assured, refined intelligence, which was the sexiest thing about her. In even her most ordinary gestures—raising her coffee cup, patting her pockets to find a ringing cell phone—there was a magnetic elegance. She moved the way thought moves, with a quiet fluidity. Her beauty was pure, unobstructed, metaphysical. But it had a physical effect. By the time the director called Tilda onto the set, my head was swarming with inappropriate fantasies whose moral saving grace was that they featured my movie mother, not the woman who’d given birth to me
She—my actual mother—wouldn’t have been surprised by this encounter. She told me back in high school that there was often an inverse relationship between a woman’s superficial luster and her power to entrance the deeper self. But I was a teenager, stuck on cheerleaders, so I didn’t believe her right away. Then I went out with a few cheerleaders. And then, later on, I went out with a model. She wasn’t shallow or ignorant, this model, but she wasn’t stimulating, either. So smooth and uniform was her exterior that she seemed to be encased in glass. The first time I saw her naked, I was flummoxed. Where to focus? Where to start? I gazed at her on the hotel mattress and searched for a scar—or a flaw of any sort that might afford my lust a toehold. My attention kept losing its grip and sliding away, though, so I ended up ordering chocolate mousse from room service as a stalling tactic.Need decorating ideas for a small space? When the confection finally arrived, Cinderella was fast asleep, of course. And I’d changed from a prince into a pumpkin. To me, it comes down to Los Angeles versus Paris. In L.A., where I’ve spent some time in recent years, a lot of the women have nothing wrong with them—and nothing particularly right about them either. The outer layers of skin they’re constantly peeling and dermabrading must strip away some of their inner selves as well. And who cares about eyelids so tight and firm that they make the eyes beneath them look cyclops-wide and triple-espresso awake? Whatever happened to sultry, sleepy sensuality? As for implants, no matter where in the body they’re inserted, they lend a woman a faint cyborg aura. The polymers in them must send out vibrations. In Paris, which I first visited in my twenties, the situation is the opposite.I sat there dumbfounded at the small café, watching the street and pretending to read Ulysses as the waiter delivered my third croissant. The passing women weren’t what I’d expected. An American pal at my grad school back in England had warned me that Parisian femininity would tempt me to relinquish my U.S. citizenship, and I’d assumed that what he’d meant was that I’d find myself surrounded by beauty queens with magazine-cover faces and centerfold figures. The reality was quite different, though. As the strolling women neared my table, what loomed were their protruding noses, their conspicuous ears, and their overly broad shoulders. As they passed, I took note of their formidable posteriors, their lack of any posteriors whatsoever, and their oddly squat or boyish physiques. What lingered when they vanished, however, was their heartbreaking seductiveness. They came in all shapes and sizes, these French ticklers, but rarely in the standard ones. The cut and drape of their appearances was haute couture, not off-the-rack. Until I saw them, I hadn’t realized how many ways there are for women to be themselves—their best and most enchanting selves. Nor had I known how many parts of me could be aroused by such shows of self-acceptance. I’d been living in one dimension—on the surface of the TV screen, the catalog page—but I’d awakened deep inside the Louvre, with galleries stretching away in every direction (including the one that houses the Mona Lisa, who’s no knockout herself but always draws a crowd).Thank you, Paris. Thank you, Tilda Swinton (humbly disguised as a Midwestern nurse). Thank you, sleeping model. Thank you, Maura. Together, you and your ilk have granted men a power we’ve longed for since we were teenagers: the ability to see through clothes, not to mention layers of foundation and coquettish posing, to the sexy center of a woman. You taught us to walk into parties, bars, and offices and look around not for pageant-winning figures, blown-glass complexions, and foreshortened noses, but direct our gaze downward, at women’s feet. Crooked toes? No glass slippers? It's takes too long anyway.

Update

I am updating this blog site.Made a few changes and I am thinking about changing the template,I don't know. I have not blogged in a while because of school. Classes ended on May 2,2008 and my grades are all A's and B's.Yes! Thank you Lord I don't have to deal with the basic math again.Time is going by so fast because of summer semester quarter starting next week. I am kind of not ready in going back to school.I wish we had two more weeks left to enjoy the break. Yesterday, my 2nd cousin Emily from Gadsden,AL passed away from dealing with Altimzers. She died at her sisters house. How creepy is that to watch somebody slip away right in front of your eyes. How do I feel about it? It's sad but she lived her life, she did everything what she wanted to do like go to college, accomplished job desire(she was a elementary school teacher)got married and had a family and made it to retirement . I just got my hair fixed two days before. I have not blogged in a while because I have been busy I mean really busy with studying, especially Computer Logic that's drawing flowcharts. People ask me is it hard and I say not too much, I understand it a little bit, enough to be able to do the work somewhat. What is my social life is like since I have started school, not too very interesting. I have not seen Ray in two weeks, I guess he is in Texas which is what Lorenzo told me.Oh well I hope he do better up there than when he was here in Montgomery. To be honest truthfully,I sort of miss him.Why do I say that, not sure.hmm. Valentines Day is comming up and it's gonna be like it always has been. Me and Valentines Day don't get along with one another because I have never gotten a Valentine that I did not force myself into getting. I have never gotten a Valentine that was good and perfect, that was special and spontaneous and very creative. I like creativity when it comes to that special someone giving me a Valentine . I don't like the same Valentines over and over like baloons, flowers that die, going to the same place in dating. When ever the Lord sends me that right person,I want to have that Valentine's day that is more than dying flowers, balloons and anything materialistic.

Busy in School

Hello, I have not blogged in a while because I've been busy with school. I just started back to college two weeks ago. My major is Computer Information Systems. There is a whole lot of studying in trying to get that degree. I have Technical Writing, which is an online class,Microcomputer Applications,Basic Math and Computer Programming and Logic. If anybody who reads my blogs and are really good in writing computer programs, please let me know thru my blog. I've been studying and studying and studying for my quizzes in Technical Writing and Computer Programming and to be honest my head is tired. What is going on in my social life well I found out that Ray broke up with Darlene. Do I think they will get back together, maybe maybe not. This morning in Montgomery it snowed oh goodie it looked so pretty

I am sleepy. There is this one guy that calls her sometimes, he used to ride the bus. I've never met the guy. She said that he preaches in a church somewhere in Montgomery. What do I think about this well to be honest it's a little bit embarrassing having men somewhat wanting to talk to her whenever she is out. To see her in person, you would see a beautiful black woman with a red complexion. I think most black men have a fascination with red skinned black women for some weird reason. I am kind of glad that she is getting her personal life back on track, hopefully she will meet that right guy and get married for to be in her fifties. I don't think it would be too late for her if that happened. Anyway enough about her personal life. I've come to conclusion since I can't get back into school right now because of a Pell Grant won't pay for tuition because of low G.P.A thing , I decided to learn how to do Web design from KarbousGuide.com and Free-Ed.net from my home. I started it last year but did not go thru with it because one of the projects to download to help in learning how to create a website, I could not download it on my computer. Now am I able to download it so I can really learn and finish the web design courses. I have not gave up my desire of wanting to become certified in Information Technology and I have not gave up in waiting on the decision about my Financial Aid. I can learn something else some other way while later on I can go back to school maybe during the summer or during the Fall who knows,if it be the Lords Will.

Belated Happy New Year

I am kind of late in this putting up the Happy New Year on this blog. I meant to do it once Jan 1,2008 came . I came back from church at 12:30, spent time eating and then went to bed at 2:30am, I was tired. I have New Years resolutions that I am interested in sticking to:

Go back to college

Meet that special guy

Get married,maybe maybe not

Have a baby, I 'm just kidding

Get a boyfriend,I wish

Work on my spiritual life

Be able to not spend my money so fast

Stay away from negative family members especially stuck up witchful cousins and criticizing aunts. I decided to use witchful instead of the other word in order to keep this blog cuss free.

Notice there is not a I want to lose weight listed. I really don't make a big deal of going on a diet every start of the New Year but I am trying to eat more fruits and vegetables. I need to go and eat something or watch tv.

Demo Wrok Today and Sams Club

Today I worked at Winn Dixie in which I did a demo, that is a person who gives out those delicious samples. I gave out samples in cups of Sobe Life Water. It was a very good demo and I liked the manager in being very helpful in getting my demo table set up and looking for the demo kit, which was not there but by the blessing of the Lord, I was able to pay for the water and cups and napkins. Some people liked the water and some people said that it did not have that much of a taste. I am okay with negative comments because that is the person and his or her choice of what he or she likes.

Then after work I went to Sam's Club. Today I went to the clinic for an appointment with the dentist. I didn't go to one of the fancy dentist offices with the nice waiting room. Just an dental clinic for poor people. Just like J.J and his family went to on Good Times ha ha, except this clinic that I went to was not free but it was cheap. I arrived there at 12:00pm waited until my appointment time at 12:30,.Then filled out paperwork because I have not been there since 2004. Once I filled out the paper work and waited and then had my teeth ex-rayed then waited some more for 20 to 30 more minutes until the dental assistant called me. The dentist put a filling in my top tooth and he put medicine in the bottom. Why he couldn't put the filling int he bottom one, I guess if he had done that, I would had to pay extra about $69 to $70 . I only paid $35 for my visit but it turned out my dental fee was $26. Oh goodie I am looking forward to Monday for the other dental visit to put the filling in at the bottom. My fee for Monday is $39 dollars. My tooth feels kind of better since he put that filling in at the top. I have no pictures to post of my knitting, I am still working on it. I've got to go and work on my webpage for another website.

2 Hours Before Christmas Eve

I am typing in my blog on December 23,2007 at 10:18pm central time. What is on my mind right now, not that much of what I can think about to type in this blog at this moment. Oh yeah I've been for some strange reason having dreams about this guy at my church over and over this guy is Brandon my buddy. I pray to the Lord what these dreams mean and I don't get an answer. Lord what are you trying to tell me? The first time I started having dreams about Brandon was when he went into Coast Guard Basic Training two years ago. Maybe I need to pray a little bit more harder on what these dreams mean, the thing is I am afraid a little bit that the Lord will reveal to me what I might not like or might not like to hear then again I should not have fear but to pray with boldness. He is always staring at me for some strange reason. I am not sure about his father because he is sick a lot but I like his momma. she is pretty cool. Well enough about that, I finished the first fur scarf that goes to fur scarf attached to a fur hat It's about 29 inches. I am planning on going to AC and Moore tomorrow, Lord willing to buy 2 balls of this colored fur, so I can knit the other scarf. It may take me another week or two to finish the other scarf. I bought spray cleaner to help clean up. After I cleaned up and eat some shrimp, toast and soup a few hours later, I then worked on my fur scarf that will be attached to a fur hat. I believe it will be longer than 25 inches maybe 35 to 40 oh my goodness this project is going to take a while I definitely need patience. I made a similar scarf attached to a hat beforeThis was done last year, I still was kind of new to loom knitting. Anyway I watched something on 2020 that seemed very interesting. It was about a woman who was run over by a car by accident. Her mother accidentally bagged into her from behind the car. When I heard about all that she is going thru, she has to take a lot of medications to this day, I think about my accident from 2004. The guy hit me with his car and left the scene of the accident. As a result of the hit and run accident, I have a rod in my lower left leg. I thank God that it was not worse that I am not dealing with pain nor have to be on a lot of medicine nor paralyzed. I realized that I am blessed ,I know that I am blessed. I guess that's my testimony.

Nice Partly Cloudy Wednesday

I did not go that many places today except downtown and Wednesday night bible study. When I left home at 3:00 to catch the city bus, I bought a grape slushy from Sonic Drive Inn. I bought it during their Happy Hour which is from 2 to 4pm every day. I think I like the Lemon Berry better. The Lemon Berry has lots of cut up strawberries in it. Anyway once the bus arrived at the transfer center and I had 20 to 30 minutes to kill time until my next bus arrived, I decided to take some pictures of Montgomery, not that much except the Alabama River and the Union Station
This is the Alabama River and this is where the train runs on this track. This is Union Station right across from the Montgomery Area Transfer Center. And these are the buses that I ride every week. I am still working on my Opera Wrap and my fur scarf attached to my fur hat. One of the scarves are just long enough to use as a scarf. I think it will get to the height I want it by the end of this week .It's about 19 inches, I want it to at least 25 inches.

A Very Blessed Sunday

Scripture for meditation:
2Corinthians 9 verse8:8 And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work.

This have been a very good Lord's Sunday. Darlene was not with him. It is the funniest thing we both had on the same kind of camouflage pants but his is red and mine is green . Ha Ha. I talked to him for a bit before I got off the bus at the unemployment office. I have not seen Lorenzo, my other male friend in a while. I,ve known Lorenzo since high school. He went to high school with my cousin. One of his cousins used to be married to Ray's sister.,whoever his cousin is. Anyway besides seeing Ray, my Monday night at home was boring. nothing was on TVLand except Designing Women. I am not too crazy about that show. Monday is usually my night to help out with the Inner City Children of the Inner City Church of Christ. I did not go because it was too cold. I said to my Mom I think I will wait till it warms up before going out and helping with the kids in the housing projects. I think I have a few pictures of the InnerCityKids including Rachel that helps out with the kids on Monday and Tuesday nights.

Back to the Blog Board

I haven't blogged for a few days because I was sick with a stuffy nose and coughing, mostly stuffy nose. I am getting better. I still take my ZiaCam for stuffiness once in while. I started using Mucinex, you know the commercial with the congestant booger looking dude. Ha Ha! . That worked somewhat but I was still getting a runny nose, so I decided to buy a box of ZiaCam and that worked better. I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow. Maybe I will go ,maybe I will not go that all depends on if this cold will be totally over with by 2:30 PM tomorrow Monday afternoon . Anyway besides dealing with the cold, I finally finished other slipper sock and now I have a pair.

What is my next knitter, a fur scarf attached to a fur hat.Ooh. I have gotten to the brim part. Hopefully I will be finished with it my the end of this week. I saw Ray and Darlene, the interracial couple I know quite well that lives in Montgomery. I have a picture of him but not her,why did I take a picture of him, I don't know. One day I am going to take a picture of both of them together. It's kind of funny when I see the two of them together. Am I jealous,no way what do I have to jealous about. They were at the Intermodial bus transfer center transferring to another bus. When I saw them I figured out that is the couple whom the Lord put together because they are alike in certain ways.. I am praying and asking the Lord, is there the right mate out there for me? I keep asking him and I get no answer. I have prayed to the Lord in the past to send me somebody special and I have met guys who were nice enough to get know further but it was and is not now I guess the right time for me to have a mate because of me starting back to college. But to be honest, as being a human being I really don't know if this is the right time now or when I finish college. Only the Lord knows really when it is the right time.

Blessed Lords's Day

Scripture I learned Yesterday in church: James chapter2:17 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.

I talked to my male buddy Brandon in church before Sunday School started. He didn't say that much. Maybe he is thinking about his dad. his dad is really sick. I am glad he broke up with his girlfriend. I knew somehow that relationship would not last. Anyway besides staying at home the rest of the evening and took a walk to the store with my mom that is only around the corner about 9:30 PM, I finished the first foot of the slipper sock.

Continuing with the instructions from last night:Heel part: 1.Wrap pegs 1-4 and knit off.
2.Wrap pegs 13-2(counterclockwise and knit off.
3.Wrap pegs 3-12(clockwise) and knit over.
4.Wrap pegs 11-4(counterclockwise) and knit over.
5.Wrap pegs 5-10(counterclockwise) and knit over.
6.Wrap pegs 9-6(counterclockwise) and knit over.
7.Wrap pegs 7-8(clockwise) and knit over
8.Wrap pegs 8-7(counterclockwise) and knit over
9.Wrap pegs 6-9 and knit over
10.Wrap pegs 10-5 and knit over
11.Wrap pegs 4-11 and knit over
12. Wrap pegs 12-3 and knit over
13.Wrap pegs 2-13 and knit over
14.Wrap pegs 14-1 and knit over
This is where the heel ends

After knitting the heel, Wrap all the way around the loom in a clockwise manner. Knit about 35 rows or at least enough rows by your shoe size. I knitted less than 35 rows because I wear a size 7.or you may need to knit more than 35 rows, I don't know that is up to you and your shoe size.

I used the Gathering method in removing the slipper sock from the loom.

I am going to knit the other slipper sock and post it up sometime this week and then I will have a matching pair.

Saturday December 1,2007

My Saturday started off with catching the MATS Public Transit in paying my storage bill. I had the PhilyThickburger at Hardee's. It was very tasty, but messy. Anyway after finishing my thickburger,I had time before the next bus came, to work on my zebra striped slipper sock made from RedHeart SuperSaver yarn.

This is the brim of the slipper sock, knitted as a single stitch. Instead of using 1 yarn, I am using 2 yarns. I think this makes the pattern thicker.I knitted 6 rows then turned for a brim.

This is part of the ankle,I guess. Knit 30 rows. This blog will not only have the things that I've loomed knitted but posts of my daily life and interesting posts about my spirituality, men, friends, relatives etc, etc, etc . Anyway here are some of the pictures above of the loomed knitted stuff.
